When I was in 5th grade, my family moved into a new house and one of my bedroom walls did not have texture on it. So, one day I started doodling on it and next thing you know, the entire wall was filled with all kinds of art! It was so much fun and I am so thankful that my parents allowed me to do this.
When I graduated from high school, I kind of lost my passion for art. Life was rough then, and boy do I wish I remembered how much I loved to doodle and what a stress relief it was.
Making art was the place I could just lose myself in my thoughts. Sometimes, thoughts of nothing and sometimes thoughts of all my hopes and dreams. Either way, its my happy place and I want to encourage you to help this become a happy place for your child to enjoy as well. Who knows, you may find joy in it as well!
